A few things and a confession…

It’s Sunday evening. (When you read this it will be Monday morning.) I’m sitting in front of my computer and I have nothing for you…I’m stuck. Is this what they call bloggers block? I’ve kind of been struggling for a little while now. Have you noticed? Inspiration meter is reading zero. That is my confession…

In an attempt the bring something to the table today, I snapped some pics of a few special things in my living room, and a few that just colour coordinate…that’s something we bloggers do, when we don’t know what else to do.

I never thought I had a lot of balls, but I guess I do. See the first photo.

I go to the local thrift store often. One of my favourite finds is handmade, seventies pottery. See the second photo.

I won a lovely print of the Hotel Vancouver by Nancy at Marcus Design a few months ago. I just hung it and love it. See third photo.

Yes, I colour coordinate my books. Currently I’m hoping “Making Ideas Happen” works its way into my brain via osmosis. Maybe I should re-read it. See the last photo.

Now to do something about this slump and get my blogging mojo back on track, I’m taking a blogging e-course. It’s called Blogging Your Way – Version 2.0. Created and taught by Holly Becker of Decor8 it is an amazing and inspiring course. (I took Blogging Your Way – Version 1.0 when I first started I Dream of Chairs back in the Spring of 2011.) This time around guest instructors include Jeanette Lunde from Fryd + Design, Nicole Balch of Making it Lovely and Katrina Tan creator of Pugly Pixel. I know I’ll learn a lot from these talented ladies!

Well, I just had to get that out there. Thanks for listening…

Have a great day!

Luv Meesh xo

You make me laugh Meesh! I totally know where you’re at with the whole inspiration lacking. You have the balls to admit it !!!!!

  4. You’re not alone, Meesh! I think inspiration comes and goes in waves. Good for you for taking the blogging course – who better to learn from than the amazing Holly Becker! I think I need to get me some balls, too! ;-)

  5. When did you get balls????

  6. Hi there! Just found your blog from BYW2 forum and wanted to pop in and say hello. I can definitely relate to what you said about blogger’s block! When that happens and I find myself writing about something I don’t really care about- I think back to when Holly talked about not blogging just to blog. Great advice and I think our readers appreciate that! I like your solution though, sharing pictures of your home/life always makes for a great quick post! See ya around class :-)

  7. Oh my goodness! I can totally relate! I agree with Sheila that inspiration comes in waves. I find it helpful to take a break every once in a while. It’s not fun to blog when you feel like you HAVE to blog :) Love your pictures!

  8. It comes and goes, my friend, no worries, ever. Don’t stress out, but instead enjoy the BYW (remember??? we met at the first one?) Wasn’t it good to receive two full days of sunshine this summer? And though it’s disappearing again, keep your spirits up and look for an uplift in your amazing pug. Hugs. Gosia P.S. How come we have not met yet at that local thrift store we’re both writing about?
