Jet Lag and Carousels

Bonjour friends! I’ve been back from France for a few days, but my sleep/wake cycle is still messed up! Silly me…I thought I could out smart my internal clock. I didn’t sleep on the plane home, stayed up 24 hours straight, then slept for 8 hours, and went to work the next day. Then on Wednesday, feeling a little tired in the afternoon, I decided to have an hour nap, only to wake up at 3 am the next morning! Can’t fool mother nature, I guess.

These are a few of my favourite photos from our fabulous trip to France. It is the “Belle Époque” carousel in the Place de l’Horloge Square in Avignon. {Belle Époque means “beautiful era” and refers to a nostalgic period of peace and prosperity in French history between 1890 to 1914, before the start of WWI.}

It’s no wonder people are drawn to the magic and whimsy of carousels.

Have a great weekend!

Luv Meesh xo

  1. Welcome back jetsetter! Ah, nostalgia, absolutely… all lit up sparkling and twinkling in the dark. Beautiful :-)

  2. I haven’t visited with you, Meesh, for quite some time, but I kept thinking about your Paris adventure. So glad you enjoyed the trip and I can’t wait to hear more reports from that magical place.
    Hugs to you and all the best for the upcoming weekend, especially with the weather we’re enjoying at the close of the summer!
