While wandering the streets of Avignon, France a few weeks ago, I stumbled across this scene outside an interior design studio. What a unique chair! So, I snapped a photo with my iPhone.
Now that I’m home, I’m seeing this award winning chair everywhere…on the web, in European shelter mags, in images of IDS 2012 in Toronto….
It is the Flux Chair. Created by Dutch designers, Douwe Jacobs and Tom Schouten this foldable, portable chair is made from a single piece of sustainable polypropylene. Take it with you, take it outside, unfold it, fold it…Sit in it.
Read the full design story here…it’s really quite amazing and clever if you ask me.

Chairs!
Luv Meesh xo

It is an awesome looking chair…perfect for anywhere one needs an extra chair or two. Too bad we didn’t realize it was collapsible, you could have brought this one home with you!!
Yeah, no kidding! It would have fit in my suitcase perfectly!!
What a fantastic chair! You must have had such a great trip. I’ll a little behind, so I’ve got to check out your last few posts, mon amie.
Wow, cool chair! It’s like packaging come to life! Welcome home!!
What a simple yet intricate chair. Love it how a couple of hipsters can come up with such a cool chair. Future “Eamesters”
Eamesters! You may just have coined a new word there, Tracey! Love it!
What a great chair! Love that you saw it in while casually wandering the streets of Avignon – how cool is that? Your photograph is awesome, too, BTW
