I get asked quite often where I got the “cool” chair graphic in my IDOC blog banner. Do you want to guess before I spill the beans? I drew it back in design school at BCIT. It seems so long ago. The class was graphics presentation {learning to colour 
} and the fictitious project was a hotel lobby and reception area. You can see on the floor plan below of “The Elite Hotel” where two of these zebra print babies were to sit near the entry. I’ve also included a perspective drawing of the lobby area so you can get a feel for the space.
There you have it. The origin of the i dream of chairs chair. It feels weird sharing these drawings with you. I’m not sure why, but it is going to be SO hard to press publish on this post. {Feeling slightly vulnerable…} Anyway here goes, I’m closing my eyes and clicking the publish button!

I get feeling a tad vulnerable about sharing things like this, but believe me when I say that your drawings are fantastic! I saw Tommy on the Marilyn Dennis show the other day and he was telling us the difference between Louis 14,15 & 16 chairs… and I thought of you! From what I (think!) I learned, your IDOC chair is a Louis 15
